Brian Timmons Dear friends, When I started Residencias Los Jardines, I started writing a weekly newsletter -determined to tell all the good, bad, and the ugly. I knew some readers would be interested in the construction process. I expected others might be interested in the lifestyle of two people who had decided to live outside the box. For others, the adventures of Lita, the parrot and the cat took on an entertainment saga all its own. Residencias Los Jardines is finished. We periodically have re-sales and rental availability. Some readers may be interested in this information. Brian Timmons |

rentals & sales Paradisus Condos / Rohrmoser Each of the units consists of two bedrooms / two bathrooms, and a large living/dining/kitchen area. The floor plan of each of these units has eliminated the optional "den / office" divider. The result is a larger area offering more flexible furniture arrangements while still maintaining the option of including an office area. At 105m2 plus two parking spots each and storage locker, they offer a great opportunity for someone seeking views, security, central location, and first class, all round living... Our Lives
Weather: Winds have been low / temperatures hotter / evenings warmer / life is great. What Happened This Week:Condo Administration: We are in to the final week available for "discussion" of agenda items. So far, there really has only been one of many items raised an contentious to some. And none of the other items have been mentioned. I am a bit surprised. We will see what happens this week. Our meeting is a week from today. We have a new owner. He is having difficult adjusting. He has been very outspoken and aggressive to the point of bullying board members. We hope he takes a chill pill, matures, educates himself which the board has offered to help, or leaves. Any of those options will be preferable to the past several days of his behavior. Remembering my New Year's Resolution: I wrote last week that I have investigated an opportunity involving helicopters but had decided against it. A friend, reader of this blog, and former fighter pilot before be became an flying bus driver for American Air wrote the following: (love his writing)... when I said they have a lot of problems, his reponse was: "fighter pilots, ourselves a suspicious bunch, declare that a helicopter appears to us to be 10,000 parts flying in formation, circulating around an oil leak. they seem to self destruct at times, and require little or no input from the pilot to do so. When I commented that they don't glide very well from what I understand, his response was: "without thrust, fighters are no slouches at heading rapidly downhill, but a chopper can beat a toyota truck to the earth from any altitude, hands down. a lot of maintenance hours req'd to keep them airworthy." Friends / Selling: Our Jaco friends selling their small hotel: they continue to be on pins and needles as the would be buyer violates the contract in multiple ways and they continue to worry that she will have the money to close on Thursday. We visited them to commissariat -they are good friends, we hadn't seen them for quite some time because of all each of us is going thru, and felt they just wanted someone who has been there / done that and who can relate to their situation, to talk with, share a meal, and talk about other things... They showed us around Jaco -many new construction projects starting... some stalled project have been finished and there are some stalled projects still stalled. New Year's Resolution: "To stay out of trouble"... short and sweet... difficult to do in CR... We'll see... and to remember a younger friend's observation: "it is easier to stay away from trouble than to get out of it..." |
News Items of the Week
COMMENTS Nothing that is very interesting... more priest allegations of sexual impropriety, more discussion re. Oscar Arias and the allegations against him, of course, more drug seizures, murders, etc. A normal week. |
