Dear friends,

When I started Residencias Los Jardines, I started writing a weekly news letter -determined to tell all the good, bad, and the ugly. I knew some readers would be interested in the construction process. I expected others might be interested in the lifestyle of two people who had decided to live outside the box. For others, the adventures of Lita, the parrot and the cat took on an entertainment saga all its own.

Residencias Los Jardines is finished. We periodically have resales and rental availability. Some readers may be interested in this information.

Paradisus Condos - click to visit

Each of the units consists of two bedrooms / two bathrooms, and a large living/dining/kitchen area. The floor plan of each of these units has eliminated the optional "den / office" divider. The result is a larger area offering more flexible furniture arrangements while still maintaining the option of including an office area. At 105m2 plus two parking spots each and storage locker, they offer a great opportunity for someone seeking views, security, central location, and first class, all round living...

Our Lives

WEATHER: hot, dry and windy... beautiful...

Health: 70's tune up: My 70's tune up quickly went off the rails. I had been feeling the side effects of stantins and wanted to reduce or eliminate them my cholesterol medication. I was prescribed "Vytorin" which uses a lower dose of stantins and another ingredient. Good idea but WRONG! WRONG, WRONG. After 5 days of taking this, I broke out in a total body rash... welts / hives / itchy, itchy, itchy, mouth sensation, etc. I check the side effects of this medication... yep... I had half of them. I checked with the doc... no antidote, just stop taking them... I decided to wait out the rash... 5 days later, the initial welts have reduced but the overall rash has grown... Tomorrow I go to a dermatologist who help a friend of mine with a similar rash caused by natural path medicines.

Re the CAJA hospital: I have two appointments in late April / early March for tests... yes, the wait time is that long.  Fortunately, I had a Spanish speaking person or else I probably wouldn't have been able to do this.

Car: I haven't been able to pay the tax (now that it has been determined) because the originator of that fee has to upload it to the Data Base that banks can access. I am told that Monday, it will be able to be paid. Then I get plates, several days, RETIVE (safety inspection). and pay the road tax...

Foreclosure: no decisions have been made re. what to do with this.

Condo Association Meeting: I attended just to see what it was like. Much like any meeting. I left shortly after the petty bitching started. I reminded me of the first meetings at Los Jardines. I had to stay for those;  I didn't for Paradisus.  What I considered the substantive items were virtually glossed over...
