Dear friends,

When I started Residencias Los Jardines, I started writing a weekly news letter -determined to tell all the good, bad, and the ugly. I knew some readers would be interested in the construction process. I expected others might be interested in the lifestyle of two people who had decided to live outside the box. For others, the adventures of Lita, the parrot and the cat took on an entertainment saga all its own.

Residencias Los Jardines is finished. We periodically have resales and rental availability. Some readers may be interested in this information.

More and more, the content will be dominated by events of our new project, "El Dorado" for short. While the future is always uncertain, I again aim to tell it like it happens -the good, the bad, and the ugly, and that is what follows.

Updates about Hacienda El Dorado

Rio Oro: We bet on the wrong horse. He died at the starting blocks. We're talking with another builder. This is frustrating; we've wasted 6 wks; and the other client we could have chosen, is now gone.

Our Lives

WEATHER: for OCTOBER being the wettest month -someone forgot to advise Nature... virtually no rain at all this week. We're watering.

All in a Week's Living in CR:

One Up: The pending sale of 121... I have to draft a rather complex agreement which will take most of the weekend and will probably take several revisions since neither the purchaser nor the seller have all the information they will need to include. But both have agreed on the major issue -price and method of payment so...

One Down: Failed Agreement with El Dorado Builder: We don't know what happened. They simply dragged out an agreed to process and then failed to complete the first step. We spent a lot of personal and legal time working on this, all for nothing. Now I have to unravel some things and move on... since I just made a run to the cheap booze place, I'll be o.k.... I never allowed myself the euphoria of knowing the project would be concluded because in CR, nothing goes as planned but I still have to deal with the disappointment -thus, the cheap booze store and hammock will be my pacifier...
