—Vida y tiempo—
When I started Residencias Los Jardines, I started writing a weekly news letter -determined to tell all the good, bad, and the ugly. I knew some readers would be interested in the construction process. I expected others might be interested in the lifestyle of two people who had decided to live outside the box. For others, the adventures of Lita, the parrot and the cat took on an entertainment saga all its own.
Residencias Los Jardines is finished. We periodically have resales and rental availability. Some readers may be interested in this information.
More and more, the content will be dominated by events of our new project, "El Dorado" for short. While the future is always uncertain, I again aim to tell it like it happens -the good, the bad, and the ugly, and that is what follows.

Residencias Los Jardines
Property Management, Rentals, Re-Sales
Market Activity: one showing for purchase from a missionary couple moving out of Bolivia because of the unstable political environment. Three inquiries for rentals... we are expecting the sale of 102 to close this week.
Changing Places: We leased 106C to two sets of vacationing owners who's houses are leased and who want to stay at Los Jardines. We also leased 116 temporarily until 106C is vacant. We now have longer to look for a long term client for 116 and the owner continues to receive income. We are also able to accommodate for one night the new purchasers of 102. All this involves a lot of logistics and people moving and we are able to do this because we try to accommodate owners and with cooperation and flexibility we can make it work...

Arenal: Our friends have a few days off their dental schedule and my schedule allowed us to travel. They decided the wanted to try the hot springs at Arenal; we hadn't been there for a number of years so that's where we are now... The place is full of European tourists. While we are staying at the same hotel we stayed in 10 years ago instead of the mega super places which are available, it is just as nice and well maintained with a few additions as previously--at $70 per night for the room. Our friends will spend the day at Tablacon hot springs and pamper themselves. We'll do the hotel pool and the town. We haven't yet seen the top of Volcano Arenal and I expect to win my $1 bet... Sunday we'll drive around the lake, through Tileran, Canas and up the Caldera highway... This Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are busy days for me.
