Semana Santa: This is the biggest holiday of the year... bigger than Christmas. Normally, the central valley residents go to the beach... this year is a bit different probably because the national elections are being held Easter Sunday, April 1... If one thinks about this, it is poetic... full of inuendos, etc... but really, the date is mandated in the law and Easter floats... in this case, it all came together...

Tenants: Three out of the last five were not good tenants, not good people. While I am glad to see the back side of all three and that view created by me or the dead beats would still be here... it has left an awful taste in my mouth and wonderment as to how I can avoid this in the future. Getting information on people is not easy here...

Heredia house: It is cleaning up nicely. Most of the mechanical / carpentry / electrical repair work is now completed. I had to install a new automatic garage door opener, Interior painting is on going. Question is will I have to replace the kitchen... I think so, it will be the sick puppy of the house when finished and it is usually the most important room.

District 4: The agreement is drafted and agreed to. It awaits signing after Semana Santa. We'll see.

Vacancies: I now have three at Los Jardines and one at Paradisus. I am not receiving any phone calls.

Europe: Crete + This seems to be moving along. We have commitments from 5 couples for two weeks so we can now commit on the Crete house. I had to modify my wants to now include a week or two someplace else... Will see what can be put together. Then I'll focus on getting there and back.

Elections: Tomorrow... April 1. The evangelical choir director / soloist seems to be leading... Both candidates have backed off their and they do not seem to support the more radical taxation schemes proposed by the legislature. I fully expect this to happen; some of my friends were becoming hysterical over some of the proposals... I had seen such proposals before but always at a time when they were never likely to be implemented... and if the evangelical gets elected, he really doesn't have any organizational support so governing decisively will not be likely... here we go again!!!!!
