Brian Timmons Dear friends, When I started Residencias Los Jardines, I started writing a weekly newsletter -determined to tell all the good, bad, and the ugly. I knew some readers would be interested in the construction process. I expected others might be interested in the lifestyle of two people who had decided to live outside the box. For others, the adventures of Lita, the parrot and the cat took on an entertainment saga all its own. Residencias Los Jardines is finished. We periodically have re-sales and rental availability. Some readers may be interested in this information. Brian Timmons |

rentals & sales Paradisus Condos / Rohrmoser Each of the units consists of two bedrooms / two bathrooms, and a large living/dining/kitchen area. The floor plan of each of these units has eliminated the optional "den / office" divider. The result is a larger area offering more flexible furniture arrangements while still maintaining the option of including an office area. At 105m2 plus two parking spots each and storage locker, they offer a great opportunity for someone seeking views, security, central location, and first class, all round living... Our Lives
Weather: Beautiful, normal, sunny, 25 degrees, cool evenings, gentle breeze... wow... loving it. Tough Sledding: The tenant who's water I turned off left... I cleaned and serviced the unit and the owner moved in. If I had followed all the rules, this would not have been the result for a long time. District 4: Feedback I am getting is that my price is too high... I don't know... there are always bottom feeders... we'll see. Mortgage payments: One decided to pay and I will collect the penalties before allowing her to sell the property which is tentatively slated for March 20. The other I am still working on. She said she had a proposal... it didn't come as promised... I am not surprised... she is a deadbeat... thru and thru... Next week, I will make her a proposal... move out, assign me the house, and I won't ruin your credit rating for the next 10 years and won't investigate your finances and the rest of your life... Prowler: We had a prowler return this week and took a brass pot. The natives went wild... lots of chatter as to what to do... The neighbors had the same incident... they have guards and cameras... these don't work and only seasoned, reasonable residents realize this... The chatter has died and we will make some adjustments ...adding more night lighting and some people will add individual house security cameras... Each house originally had built in security systems along with emergency lighting... What came out of the discussion was that no one uses their security stems, some leave their doors open, many of the emergency lighting systems have not been maintained... well, boys, and girls... look no further than yourselves... My position is that while Doneste has a responsibility to provide a degree of security, individuals are also responsible for their own. |
News Items of the Week
Comments: 1. Tax Reform Proposals: Many of these have been made in the past and never get very far. This time a majority of the deputados agreed to fast track a bunch of proposals. While some are accepting that the proposals are a faita compei, I don't see it that way. Now the legislature will supposedly focus on these proposals and my guess is, they will begin tearing them apart. What actually gets passed will be very different than what was approved for debate. Should some of these pass into law, and actually be enforced, they could represent some serious consequences. What isn't being discussed is lower the spending... and remember, these legislators are soon to be out of a job... they may not even get the proposals into law and who knows what the next government will do with them whatever is passed. The most recent polls have the evangelist at 52% and the PAC guy at 27% ...certainly a big difference. This is shaping up to be another disaster me thinks.. the leading candidate has NO experience other than leading choirs in church and quoting scriptures... he has no organization or real party..his appeal is no gays, no crime, fiscal reform, God will show us the way... let's be happy... ICE -electricity provider Continues to put the screws to the country... their two newest dams are broken and not producing electricity... they have to raise the rates by 30% to fix the problems... while having a surplus generation capacity... and shutting down a newly installed geothermal plant financed by a 100 year loan from the Japanese.
