Weather: Windy and normal -volcanic ash seems to have abated.

Valentine's Day: Lita gave me a bottle of Calvin Klein after shave and I have her a one way ticket to "Iceland"... It is not what it seems but it is accurate. She didn't. Know how long it would take her to get things done and to get tired of the snow and grandkids... So a one way ticket... premiums are not being charged anymore... seemed easier that forcing a pre planed departure.

Vacancies Gone: I don't remember having any rental inquires during either December of January... yet we had some turnover... I committed to an owner a few days in a vacant house. He arrived at 6, I had leased it so moved him to another unit which was not completely cleaned nor re-stocked. I got that done the next day and leased it so had to boot him out again to a 3rd. Unit. That 3rd unit is being shown today... Why, all of a sudden we are having inquiries and leasing??? Don't know... But feels better than the other. This type of turnover always causes me stress and lots of chaos... I hate it... and I had 5 guests for lunch on Thursday... The filet mingon got scorched because the BBQ decided to flare off the accumulated grease... What a day...

Other Friends: we have been renewing friendships with Montrealers who we last saw three years ago. They are still here and are traveling for several weeks to return for a few days before going back to shoveling snow. Other friends previously from here and now from Florida are in town. They were guests Thursday and I will see them again this Tuesday... we need to plan a trip for Europe...

The auction was rescheduled for Feb. 16. The house did not sell and has been withdrawn from the market by the owner... The opportunity remains for someone.
