Permit Applications: SETENA--D1--we wait and that will probably be the story until the end of January. 

Water: I don't have any information re. the discussions between the consultant and AyA. 

Sick Tree....It's still struggling and while it should have completely leafed out, it hasn't.

Chain Link Fence: The consultant says he sent the design to the engineer; the engineer says he doesn't have it.  It's difficult to know what is what but I'll sort it out.  Note:  sharing information and working as a team does not seem to come naturally to the Ticos we know and work with.  It seems to be a cultural difference that N. Am. are used to.  We often times have to insist that information is shared.

Drainage System: No heavy rains yet to test under actual conditions--continuous rains yes but no torrential downpours.

Kirebe: We see no evidence that they have done anything yet.

VOIP Phones:  They continue to work before 8 am and on weekends but at other times, not really.

Cable TV:  AMNET is moving into the area to compete with CableTica. We are exploring connections with them.

Possible Sale:  We've shown 120 numerous times this past week.  One of these clients has said he will be making an offer.  We'll see.

Costa Rica’s 2008 Rainfall Already Record-Breaking
(Costa Rica Pages) The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) reports that Costa Rica’s 2008 rainfall is set to make the record books, accumulating more annual rainfall than it has seen in more than 60 years. An analysis of rainfall between January and October shows that 2,100 millimeters (82.7 inches) have fallen in San José city this year, compared to a historical average of 1,800 millimeters (70.8 inches). ICE’s Rate Hike Demand Not Well Received in Costa Rica
