Los Jardines: Rental Vacancies

When I started Residencias Los Jardines, I started writing a weekly news letter —determined to tell all the good, bad, and the ugly. I knew some readers would be interested in the construction process. I expected others might be interested in the lifestyle of two people who had decided to live outside the box. For others, the adventures of lita, the parrot and the cat took on an entertainment saga all its own.

Residencias Los Jardines is finished. We periodically have resales and rental availabilty. Some readers may be interested in this information.

More and more, the content will be dominated by events of our new project, "El Dorado" for short. While the future is always uncertain, I again aim to tell it like it happens —the good, the bad, and the ugly, and that is what follows.

In an effort to make the format more interesting and visually appealing and to field inquiries re. El Dorado, the news letter is now being distributed by Jan Kozak, Marketing Manager, Hacienda El Dorado. I will remain the author.

» MARKETING, WEBSITE & SALES

Sales: We're still working on the two from last week and tidying up paperwork. No new sales this week. We are putting together a financing offer for CR citizens to try to tap that market.

We have a couple from the frozen lands of Ontario visiting their sight-un-seen purchase and are thrilled with it.  We've had them to dinner; they are really nice people.

Website: We fired the new company for non-performance and have now placed our work with a freelance developer.  We'll see what happens this time.  Therefore, we have not made the progress expected to fix info. and update some things.

Marketing: Jan, the Marketing Manager, has been working on updating marketing information. Currently he's off to the beach for some much deserved R&R. He'll return on Wednesday. He has his computer with him so he's still on the job (kind-of).

» CONSTRUCTION LOG

Misc: Paul has started a campaign to get one of our neighbors to clean up his household. Lately he seems to have gone into the scrap metal business and uses the public roadway as well as his front yard as the warehouse. This will probably take a while but we have time. We know the Mayor wants some help with the Red Cross—Santa Ana……  Paul has also been bird dogging the various permits and permit qualifications. Progress is slow and uneven but we just keep chipping away at it.  Sometimes, it's a double scotch night!

Office Equipment: Paul has focused on upgrading and replacing office equipment.  Dust and age wreck havoc on electronics.  He's been fighting his way through the hook-ups and the software installations.  It's nearly complete now.

Weather: Still, sunny, quite warm

I've been doing catch up and nursing a cold which won't go away.

The kids have now returned to Toronto where they can shovel snow.  It was a good visit and all ended well.

We're looking to get back into a comfortable routine…

I'm still fighting my way through computer file name clean up so I can transfer the data to a new computer.  This one is tired and s—l—o—w.
