When I started Residencias Los Jardines, I started writing a weekly newsletter -determined to tell all the good, bad, and the ugly. I knew some readers would be interested in the construction process. I expected others might be interested in the lifestyle of two people who had decided to live outside the box. For others, the adventures of Lita, the parrot and the cat took on an entertainment saga all its own.

Our Lives

Weather: Actually, despite what I said last week, we have not had any significant rainfall in the past two weeks. What started out to be a wet rainy season has suddenly changed. We'll see what happens as we proceed through the season.

Hammock: It continues to get a good work out... am going to have to replace it one of these days before I fall through... now if I can just get Lita to bring me drinks and snacks!!!!!!! She has re-found her audio-books and doesn't want to be interrupted... she finally tired of the hateful news events and hate speech...

Nothing of interest to me... government can't agree on anything (this is not news), nominating a CR for the head of the UN Secretary General... don't think so; ‚Äčone of the government sub banks run out of Panama seems to be seriously involved in money laundering; tax reform (??? hah, hah) isn't happening; tax collection is bogged down in debate; the two of 4 trains which collided were the fault of each conductor and the dispatcher; CR public schools are on their two week break and more ticos are at the beach than in the office...

Having said all the above, CR life for us is better than the alternatives...
