Residencias Los Jardines - Life & Times

ISSUE #403: April 16-21, 2012

Rainy Season Begins... Unofficially

Rainy Season Begins... Unofficially

Brian Timmons, Newsletter Author
Brian Timmons

Dear friends,

When I started Residencias Los Jardines, I started writing a weekly news letter -determined to tell all the good, bad, and the ugly. I knew some readers would be interested in the construction process. I expected others might be interested in the lifestyle of two people who had decided to live outside the box. For others, the adventures of Lita, the parrot and the cat took on an entertainment saga all its own.

Residencias Los Jardines is finished. We periodically have resales and rental availability. Some readers may be interested in this information.

More and more, the content will be dominated by events of our new project, "El Dorado" for short. While the future is always uncertain, I again aim to tell it like it happens -the good, the bad, and the ugly, and that is what follows.

A Broken Promise: We're working our way through the tenant who refused to leave on time. He's now left, we cleaned the unit and now the client is installed... we'll sort out the financial damage and allocations later this week.

Our Lives

WEATHER: The weatherman seems to be the only entity which does not recognize that the rainy season has begun in the Central Valley...

Toronto: This has been a busy week of renewing documents and sorting out the work which needs to be done on our house. In between those priorities, we had a chance to renew friendships and for Lita to re-unite with family and friends. I don't know how people can maintain that it is cheaper to live in N. Am. than in CR... it certainly isn't cheaper in Toronto... and the life style here isn't as good for us as in CR...aside from weather. In Toronto we live in a world of stairs, double doors, and attendantless entities, eg. parking lots where you need to know the system (but who to ask??) or else you get lost real fast... and long distances to commute...
